Fabian Schär is a professor of blockchain and fintech at the University of Basel and the managing director of the University of Basel’s «Center for Innovative Finance». His research focus is on public blockchains, decentralized finance, financial market infrastructure, and financial privacy. He held positions as a visiting lecturer at various central banks, served as a technical advisor to the CPMI (Bank for International Settlements) and as a visiting researcher at the International Monetary Fund.
