Jason Potts is Distinguished Professor of Economics at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. He is founder and  Director of the Blockchain Innovation Hub, which in 2017 was the world's first social science and business school research institute on Blockchain. His research focuses on the economics of innovation and new technology, evolution of institutions, and common pool resources. He is also an editor of the Journal of Institutional Economics.
